A production company built around filmmakers and ideas.
DEFY Studios is an independent film production company built around strong ideas, distinctive storytelling, and filmmaker-driven projects.
We develop and produce feature films, short-form cinema, and cinematic branded content. We move slowly on purpose. We favor taste over volume, and we build each project around the filmmaker at its center.
Our work is made in close collaboration with a growing network of directors, writers, cinematographers, and specialized production and post-production partners. We see the company less as a studio in the traditional sense and more as a home for the projects and people we believe in.
Alexander King
New York based creative producer and founder of DEFY Studios, focused on developing bold ideas and bringing together the right creative talent to bring them to life.
The work spans film and branded storytelling, guided by a strong point of view and an emphasis on collaboration, originality, and thoughtful execution. DEFY Studios grew from that approach, a place built for ambitious ideas, meaningful creative partnerships, and stories worth telling.
